moving in together

I am ready to move.

Not so much away from my cozy nest, as I love my family, friends & neighborhood….but my soul longs for more.

When I spend time in His Presence, I long to spend more and more time with Him.

I don’t just want a coffee date, or weekend visitation any longer.

I want to move in with God.

And the funny thing?

He has already moved in, within ME!

And somehow,
as He stirs within me,
I am drawn to Him all the more.

Heaven and earth collide as God moves in with His children.

And it can be painful at times.

I know I want things my way more than I care to admit, and I am usually the one blocking the flow of whatever God is wanting to impart to me when I settle for momentary contact over lifelong eternal connection.

What I do, what you do today matters for eternity.

Caring for our children or ill family members…
Serving the clients at work for the umpteenth time…
Volunteering at a shelter or food bank…
Cutting the lawn for an elderly neighbor…
Praying for health with a friend…
Kindness in a difficult situation…
Forgiving someone who has hurt you…

Every act that blesses God reveals a glimmer of His glory.

When I take a step back, and remember God is with me all the time, I realize that every time i have been revealing His glory, I have been moving closer towards heaven.

And moving with Him at the same time, because we live together.

If like me, you sometimes feel that the never ending piles of laundry, dirty dishes, snotty noses, and driving to and fro doesn’t matter in the kingdom, we both need today’s reminder:

As a matter of fact, do everything that way, heartily and freely, to God’s glory. – 1 Corinthians 10:31

I am ready to let His glory shine through me more clearly, as I join what He is doing- as He desires to move through me to bless theothers around me.

If you are ready to join me, take a few minutes to pray, and invite God to speak to you too:

Lord, make your home in me. I invite You to tell me how you want to be more at home in me. Help me to see how even the smallest kindness matters in Your kingdom. I thank You for never leaving me alone, loving me forever and making a permanent home in heaven for me. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen!
