longing to feel beloved

I want to feel close to You
I want to feel close to You
There’s nothing in this world that compares to all You are

Lauren Daigle, Close

Late last night, some old fears raised their sneaky heads. In watching someone I adore fight them off yet again, I find myself in need of reassurance, yet again, right now.

You lovingly pointed me back to Deuteronomy 33:12, both comforting me and reminding me who I am to You in the same instant:

Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in Him, for He shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.

With this Word, You reminded me:
1. I am Your Beloved.
2. My rest is found in You.
3. I am secure in Your embrace.
4. You shield me 24/7.
5. I am the one You love. (Coz You knew I needed to hear it twice 🙂
6. You keep me close, carrying me on your shoulders.

So fears, begone in Jesus’ Name, as proclaimed triumphantly by his Beloved. You don’t get a single moment of my time or thoughts today, coz you won’t be hanging out with me anymore.

And in your place, fears?

I have welcomed more of my Beloved in.

For His love chases out all fears, as its expanse fills where it inhabits!

And I am His, and He is my, Beloved, forever!
