Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust Him along the way You’ll find He pulled it off perfectly! Psalm 37: 5 TPT
I officially give up.
I have decided to stop holding myself hostage to the false belief that I am in control of my life.
Only One person knows all of what is to come up ahead and it isn’t me.
And so the adventure begins.
Taking my hands completely off of the reins, the steering wheel is frightening, and freeing at the same time.
Because I am being obedient to following the way He has for me to live this life.
One small seed of obedience can yield an amazing crop in His Kingdom.
For His ways are not ours, and His plans beyond of full comprehension, it makes sense that we might have a hard time letting go and letting God lead us. It goes against our very nature, affected by the sin of selfishness, to willingly let someone else take the lead.
But the outcome when we do?
That place of tension when we let go and let Him? This is the great adventure.
Saddle up your horses, we’ve got a trail to blaze through the wild blue yonder of God’s amazing grace! Let’s follow our Leader into the glorious unknown. This is a life like no other, this is the great adventure! Steven Curtis Chapman
When we obey His leading, He reveals the adventure up ahead to us, step by step, situation by situation, piece by piece.
Because only God is able to know the fullness of what He has for us all at once.
I suspect its exactly because of our humanity.
If we knew the fullness of what was up ahead?
- We might be tempted to run at that trouble coming…
- Give up all hope when that relationship breaks…
- Become too cocky to follow through…
- Wait until the last minute to obey…
unless we are depending on Him. All the way along.
So I am beginning a new adventure today. Trusting He will lead me exactly where I am to go, equip me exactly as I need, provide for me all I will require, and pull it off perfectly as He does!
