This morning, I awoke feeling better physically, but weary spiritually. Mondays are my longest days of work, and I find |I need an extra dollop of resting in His Presence to restore my soul, refresh my spirit and rejuvenate my mind, body & emotions.
Psalm 62 reminds me that David too knew the value to stopping to spend time with God, one on one, unhurried despite the rush of activity and flurry of duty going on about him.
Yet David too needed to remind himself of that very same truth, not just once, but over again as we can see in this Psalm.
David refers to these two lines in this, the very first verse of Psalm 62, twice. Exactly. Because like you and I, we need to constantly feed on and prompt ourselves with Truth as often as we need it.
For God came once to save us all, but continually saves us from ourselves. All of us. Our doubts, fears, pain, wounds, grief, lack of trust included.David’s words rekindle my hope anew that God is for me, with me, not against me, battling for me, and keeping me safe as He breathes new life into me, down to my very soul!
