And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified;those he justified, he also glorified. Romans 8:28-30
There are many promises for those whom God loves…for you and for me.
This year, I am unpacking the unwanted weight of lies, fears, unhealed pain and past events.
And exchanging them for His promises.
Such as these truths:
I am His.
Purposefully called.
Chosen to be part of His family.
Being made gloriously into His image.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Today I was struck by this promise included in this verse immediately above, Romans 8:31….
His Promise of Protection.
He is for me.
If I am His, and He is for me….
- He is in my corner.
- He has my back.
- He will come out swinging on my behalf.
- He will protect me.
So tonight, I claim this truth. I ask You to reveal Your promise to the places within me which need to know You as my protector. May the freedom You desire for me be released in me, that as i journey each day I might become the me You designed me to be.
