Earlier this week, I felt like I was wearing a target with a “hit here” written on my solar plexus.

Several unkind words tried to take my breathe away and a few stormy encounters tried to pull me under, yet God helped me to stand and hold my ground.

Last night, exhaustion knocked me out for a 12 hour count.

Somehow, I thought agreeing to a 50+ hour work week would be a good thing for a few weeks.

After my extended sleep last night, God revealed to me that:

  •  I don’t function well with a heavy work load
  • when I cut down my times of worship
  • when I don’t get 7 hours sleep a night, increase my caffeine to compensate and
  • when I allow my feelings to lead the way through my day.

This morning, I chose to ‘car worship’ (at the top of my lungs on the half hour drive to and fro work) along to two of my fave worship cds from 2016.

Ones where I remembered God powerfully meeting me as I listened to my favorite songs from each cd.

But today, I listened to the other songs, and made space for fresh encounter with Him. And He met me there.

When I got to work, I was invited to take part in a fitness class I cant usually get to, and I felt God prompt me to answer yes.

I hadn’t taken a formal class in about 18 months due to various scheduling and health reasons.

I loved it.

After the class, I got all my work done in less time, as I felt less sreessed & more relaxed.

Just as He directed me to!

No matter what, He is there to guide me through it.

Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you’ve got, be resolute, and love without stopping. 2 Corinthians 16:13-14 MSG

PS. If you too are in a hard place, invite Him to show Himself strong to you – right where you are at!

All those who labour in vain, and to the broken and shamed. Love is here, love is now…
