What helped urge Jesus to the cross? Compassion.

One emotion helped urge Jesus on to the cross. Compassion.⠀

Not only for the hurting, sick and hungry, as seen in Matthew 14… “When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them and healed their sick….” (vs 14) before He multiplied the little to feed the many.⠀

But even more miraculous to me? The compassion He showed while on the cross. “Jesus prayed, ‘Father, forgive them; they don’t know what they’re doing.’ ” Luke 23:34 ⠀

Even under incredible duress, Jesus continued to look upon everyone with compassion! ⠀
