Some days, I feel less than. You know? Broken, useless, and not worth much.
I find it so amazing how every single time I feel this way, His Word finds its way back into my mind. Some times through the Bible, some times through a word I hear from a teacher or friend, some times through a worship song.
I used to feeling this way was just unique to me, until I realized that was another lie the enemy was using to try and keep me from feeling loved, and connected to God.
One of my favorite worship songs to proclaim on hard days when I feel less than, is Amazing Grace (Broken Vessels) by Hillsong Worship. I love how by the end of worshiping to it, I am able to more clearly see myself reflected through Your eyes!
All these pieces broken and scattered
In mercy gathered mended and whole
Empty-handed but not forsaken
I’ve been set free I’ve been set free
In mercy gathered mended and whole
Empty-handed but not forsaken
I’ve been set free I’ve been set free
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me, oh
I once was lost but now I’m found
Was blind but now I see
That saved a wretch like me, oh
I once was lost but now I’m found
Was blind but now I see
Oh, I can see it now
Oh, I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying yourself down
Raising up the broken to life
Oh, I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying yourself down
Raising up the broken to life
You take our failure, You take our weakness
You set Your treasure in jars of clay
So take this heart, Lord, I’ll be Your vessel
The world to see Your life in me, oh!
You set Your treasure in jars of clay
So take this heart, Lord, I’ll be Your vessel
The world to see Your life in me, oh!
