be yourself, friend

Two words which have impacted me for years since hearing them prophetically spoken over me in my late twenties.

I do not need to be ashamed of the way I am gifted, however I am responsible for using my gifts the best I can for His glory.

I do not need to be concerned about my background, as He purposed for me to be exactly born into the family He chose for me.

I can embrace being who He designed me to be while encouraging others to do the same, without comparison or competition.

Psalm 139 always reminds me how intricately I have been handcrafted by the God who intimately took great delight in shaping me, and continues to take great delight in loving me!

This pic is from a few years ago, when I discovered a sword & costume shop with some great nordic items. (And yes, this mask came home with me.)

What Word is He reminding you about today?
