Through the drudgery of the day, despite the constant rain fall, You continue to sing over us Your DELIGHT in Your children. ⠀

That the Maker of all should even know my name & all about me is mind-boggling enough, but the fact You DELIGHT in me, *insert your name here* is astounding & takes my breathe away with sheer wonder.⠀

Zephaniah 3:17 has always been a ‘holy wonder-amazing grace-gobsmacking love’ kind of verse for me in the NIV: “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great DELIGHT in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” ⠀

In the Message translation, it shakes me to the core each time I ponder it:⠀
Your God is present among you, a strong Warrior there to save you. Happy to have you back, He’ll calm you with His love and delight you with His songs.
No matter what your day looks like, whether or not it was a good hair day, bills are piling up, the house appears to have been hit by a twister…rest in this calming truth tonight as He sings over you while you slumber…⠀
