who You say I am – friend, forgiven and…

It is remarkable to me (given how much time I spend with myself) who You say I am, God. You not only see and call me Your FRIEND (John 15:14-15), You call me FORGIVEN (Ephesians 1:7, Isaiah 1:7)!!

But there is one more Word which You pronounce over me, which rocks me to the core every time I encounter it, whether in the Word or hearing it sung by Mercy Me in their song “FLAWLESS.”

Friend, if the very One who created you, adores you, and became broken for you thinks you are flawless? Take some time to let this truth soak into the places and spaces which need His touch today. For the cross has made YOU flawless! Even on the hard days filled with messy dirty hair, disorganization, soaked with tears, hurting hearted you.

Word:

“You are altogether beautiful, My darling; there is NO FLAW in you.” Song of Solomon 4:7

Worship:
“No matter the bumps, no matter the bruises, no matter the scars – still the truth is the cross has made, the cross has made you flawless. No matter the hurt or how deep the wound is, no matter the pain – still the truth is the cross has made, the cross has made you flawless… No matter what they say or what you think you are, the day you called His name? He made you flawless!”

  1. Karla, as much as I love worship songs, I never stopped to think about what it means to be flawless in God’s eyes. What a truly astounding thought. And understanding of how God views me, and each of His children. And the songs . . . love them. Thanks for giving me a good pause in an otherwise up and down day.

    1. Thanks Jeanne! Both your posts went through. I find it amazing how He can use a song to do a deep healing work in us or remind us of a Truth we need to claim & savor! Thanks for sharing your thoughts xo
