When I look at myself in the mirror, I have a tendency to focus on my flaws.
When You see me through the filter of Jesus’ blood, You see…
- the one You love.
- the one You declared as right before You.
- Whole, holy, clean.
- Justified by and through faith. (Romans 5:1, Galatians 2:16)
When I place my trust in You, the Just one, it acknowledges that I know just how far I have stumbled into sin.
And instead of meeting out the justice I deserve, You defy all logic and justify me… declaring the offenses against me null and void, making me right in Your eyes.
Justice defying logic = just-defy.
But there is no ifs about it.
You declare me to be clean, righteous, and Your beloved… so I must be, even when I don’t feel like it or the enemy tries to amp up my doubts.
I am so thankful that justice defied logic and offered me mercy instead!
