I have always loved going to the art gallery. Part of me loves seeing the variety in each creation, and part of me has always been fascinated to discover:⠀
- where the piece comes from⠀
- its creator⠀
- its owner⠀
- where it has lived
- the time period in which it was created.⠀
I believe God has a display gallery of all His children’s portraits & achievements, a grown up version of kindergarten welcome, music & art nights, awards & papers as well as His favorite picture of us up on His walls.⠀
When you treasure something, you keep it where you can often see it.⠀
But not only do you beautifully display it, you set up security and protect it from harm, whether from the elements or thieves.⠀
I suspect we each have our name proudly on a plaque underneath our picture, proclaiming how much He adores & treasures each one of us.⠀
Friend, YOU are that treasured possession God explains about to us in His Word, especially in Luke 15.⠀
You are the lost sheep He pursued when finding itself lost.⠀
THERE IS NO WHERE HE WILL NOT FIND YOU.⠀
You are the lost coin that He diligently searches for.⠀
NO NOOK OR CRANNY WILL GO UNNOTICED.⠀
You are the prodigal who God has restored to position when all you deserve was demotion.⠀
YOU ARE HIS TREASURED POSSESSION.⠀
Invite Him to speak to you about what being His beloved possession means to you.⠀
To me – it means He will never stop investing His care into my life.⠀
