When the climb seems impossibly steep:
A voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” Isaiah 40:3-5, Luke 5: 3-4 ESV
When you need reassurance He is not leading you, but with you while you climb:
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob,
that He may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths.” Isaiah 2:3 ESV
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—He who watches over you will not slumber;indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day,nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life;the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. – Psalm 121 NIV
