One of the ways which I feel centered, strengthened, encouraged and hopeful on the hardest of days isn’t found in a set way, apart from Who I run to.
I love music of all sorts, but I have to tell you, nothing beats a heartfelt worship song. One which draws us into the Throne room, and reminds us to seek God in all things, at all times, in every season, especially during the storms and the desert days.
The common denominator here is not the style of the music, but the heart.
Your heart, pouring out praise for what He has done, worship for who He is, welcoming His intervention as we invite Him to move.
All of that is to say, worship is designed to both bless God and the one who worships Him. You, and I.
And worship pierces atmospheres, releasing His Presence in a fresh way to clear the path for Him to draw near to the one worshiping Him.
So today, I am going to share ten of my favorite worship songs to sing on the hard days. Those days where I am overwhelmed, exhausted, grieving, desperate for God to intervene.
May they draw you closer to the One who longs for our presence to come close to His, and may He delight in your honest offering as He moves in your situation. May we be able to see His Kingdom come here on earth as it is in heaven!
