This weekend was a bit of a roller coaster ride for my emotions. I experienced highs, lows, laughter and tears, wins and losses over the past 48 hours. As I type, I sense I have leaked out more than usual without as much time to refuel and focus on who I am in and to God.
Maybe you too can relate, friend.
So this week, I will seek His Word afresh during my worship & prayer time, as I invite God to rekindle my love for Him and refill me with His love for me.
For its hard to offer our best, His best, when our tanks are close to empty.
One of my favorite verses to savor is Zephaniah 3:17, especially when I feel a bit harried and rushed.
Word:
“Your God is present among you, a strong Warrior there to save you. Happy to have you back, He’ll calm you with His love and delight you with His songs.” Zephaniah 3:17 MSG
In one verse, God reminds me of 5 key loving truths that I can carry with me, and let soak into my soul for refreshing:
- He is present with me.
- He is strong enough to save me in whatever battle I may face!
- He is happy when I return to spend time with Him!
- His love is calming.
- His sings over me to delight me!
Worship:

Prayer:
Lord, help me to come to You as soon as I feel a bit run down, busy, or in need of reassurance of Your love. Remind me again how You are with me, You go before me and protect me, and how Your love not only calms me, but sings over me, the one You love!
