Reckless.
A word that makes me think of doing something without thought for safety, just rushing in and doing it.
When I first heard the song “Reckless Love,” I wasn’t too sure that the word “reckless” fit until I heard the bridge.
“There’s no shadow You won’t light up
Mountain You won’t climb up
Coming after me
There’s no wall You won’t kick down
Lie You won’t tear down
Coming after me”
And then, I got it. A glimpse of His reckless pursuing love, which can’t help but coming after His hurting, lonely and broken children. A love that can’t be contained within His heart alone, but needs to be expressed over and over and over.
Because God’s love is an active, living love. A love that will never die, for you and I.
Word:
“For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.” Psalm 117:2 NIV
“It’s with lasting love that I’m tenderly caring for you.” Isaiah 54:8 MSG
“He (God) will never give up on you. Never forget that.” 1 Corinthians 1:8 MSG
