A verse which comforts and brings me Hope, Job 11:18 has become a go to on days when the ground beneath me feels shaky, and the road ahead is hard to clearly see.
“You will be secure, because there is HOPE; you will look about you and take your rest in safety.” Job 11:18
But I love how God always answers with more Hope than I initially can imagine, and I get a glimpse of His promise for just this in the verse that follows…
“You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor.” Job 11:19
So not only does God become my security, and allow me to rest in safety (vs 18) but I will not fear, and He will bring others to me for me to bless with my gifts, talents and skills (vs 19).
And the best part? His Presence, for He is my Hope. With me to keep me safe, and help me rest unafraid! I can relax, let go and rest in this hopeful promise on the most stressful of days.
