It has been over three weeks now since I have felt 100%.
(In reality, its been since the start of winter, but that’s not where this post is going today, friend! š)
Whatever this sinus bug & congestion are, besides nasty, I hit my end of just lying down and taking it this week.
I have missed family events, work, and time with friends under the weight of illness and weariness.
And within me rose the rising cry that enough is enough.
So I changed my prayer to God from “Heal me” to “Battle for me.”
For every battle we face as His children? He is more than enough in strength, power, holiness and wonder to fight it for us.
I was reminded again how the battle belongs to the Lord over and over this past week, as I made the decision to let go of my frustration at being unwell and pressed in to Him to shelter me.
For until I am fully healed, I can still be fully held. And friend, so can you.
“Do not be afraid! Donāt be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but Godās.ā (2 Chronicles 20:12,15 NLT)
The mighty army you too may be facing could be your finances, relationships, cancer or other health conditions.
Whatever battle field you find yourself in, give it to Him friend. Allow Him to hold you close as you watch and see how He will fight for your freedom. Walk forward into the newness He has for you as He leads you through the battle.
For His more than enough is more than enough to meet our every need!
This week, I’ll be sharing ways to keep pressing in on the hardest of days.
