Some mornings, I wake up feeling heavy hearted. I used to keep it in, and ignore it as I went about my day taking care of others and getting my work done.⠀

I woke up one day and realized I wasn’t being honest about how I was feeling, and was putting on a mask instead of showing my true self. But I didn’t know what to do about changing things.⠀

Then I came across this verse, and the light went fully on within, as I grasped that You can fill me when I admit I am empty, energize me when I feel weak, as You love me right where I admit I am in need.⠀
“Going through the motions doesn’t please You, a flawless performance is nothing to You. I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don’t for a moment escape God’s notice.”

Honesty is an attribute that You are known for, and You love to see in Your children. ⠀

If this Monday is not starting off well for you, talk with Him about it. Pour out your heart like water before Him, and let Him meet You right there in that moment.⠀
