“If I seek You, will I find You there?
If I call Your name, will You still hear?
Is it too late or can I start again,
can I begin again?” @coreyvoss
These three questions have often been on my heart, mind or tongue at times, especially when my heart is feeling raw from loneliness, being in dire need of rescue or a restart.
God promises He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).
God promises when we genuinely seek Him, He will be found (Jeremiah 29:13).
Feeling like you’ve made one mistake too many, or you need a spiritual re-start?
God can give you a new heart and spirit (Ezekiel 36:26) as well as a new self (Colossians 3:10) when we come to Him and ask for Him to transform us.
Friend, His Word reminds us over and over that we can trust in each promise even when we don’t feel it! Like using speed dial, we too can focus on verses like these which reassure us of His care for us.
And the best promise of all when I feel like this on a particular difficult day?
There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears! (Philippians 1:6 MSG)
