This weekend, @rachelheldevans, an author who has impacted many in the faith community, passed after an unusual and sudden illness. Leaving behind a devastated husband, two littles, and numerous family & friends struggling to cope and grieve.

Similar to @kaylasteck, who shares about losing her husband, sometimes the bad news just suddenly grips you by the heart, and reality as we know it radically shifts into a newness we don’t like, but have to walk through.

Losing a loved one, your marriage, your job or home, your health… pain, grief and anger can rise to the surface as we struggle to cope.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The good news? What I have been able to hold onto through the storms of loss is His faithfulness.

He is who He says He is – true to His Word, ever present with me. Battling for me, comforting me with His love, providing for me in ways I did not even know I needed.
