As the strong aroma of freshly brewed coffee tantalizes my slumbering mind
I slowly begin to awake
Like a butterfly carefully emerging from its cocoon of warmth
I press myself against the weight of my warm covers for another moment
not feeling strong enough to face the day
Then the Strong One speaks a kind greeting to me as I push myself up to standing
Knowing I am not alone gives me an inner strength that cannot come from any other source but the Strong One
I make my way to the Word
and invite Holy Spirit to infuse me with the strength I need for the day ahead
Then I head to my coffee, already strong in Hope and faith for this new day
