When I used to feel lonely or upset, I would reach for something crunchy to self medicate and comfort myself.
I realized a few years ago that I could be turning to God to comfort me for both the big and smaller moments when I felt alone or blue.
This verse is one that reminds me of several truths:
1. God sees me. Me!
2. He sees me now. In this very moment.
3. He sees me my comings and goings. Everywhere and everything.
4. He sees me forevermore. As in until forever, and even more time past that, if you take the more literally!
The fact that God included so many verses which meet us in all our various needs astounds and amazes me on a regular basis.
Friend, try snacking on His Word the next time you are having an off day for any reason. You will find its effects way more soothing than chocolate, more comforting than caffeine and longer lasting than any pain medication. I can attest to the fact God has strengthened and comforted me when nothing else on earth would work. And He des so out of His great love, as He helps, heals and comforts those He loves, like you and I.
