I often want to run several steps ahead of what God is asking me to do next. Often because I work myself into a state trying to figure out how things will/should go, instead of waiting for His direction, for Him to move.
Maybe you too can relate.
When I flip back through my journals, reminiscing over the past, I was reminded just how often God stepped in and moved in every situation when I stopped getting in the way when I tried to fix it myself.
So God, I give You ________. And I choose to stay right here, trusting in Your love, goodness, & power as my Hope, like those who have gone before me have put their faith in action by bending the knee and waiting for You to move.
“I thank You always that You went into action. And I’ll stay right here, Your good Name my Hope, in company with Your faithful friends.”
