{DAY 63: FULL BODIED HOPE}

“I’m sure that won’t happen to you, friends. I have better things in mind for you—salvation things! God doesn’t miss anything. He knows perfectly well all the love you’ve shown Him by helping needy Christians, and that you keep at it. And now I want each of you to extend that same intensity toward a full-bodied hope, and keep at it till the finish. Don’t drag your feet. Be like those who stay the course with committed faith and then get everything promised to them.” (Hebrews 6:9-12 MSG)

Don’t verses like these help give your spirit a positive boost when you read them, friend? I know they have been helping me stay fixed on what I can do instead of what I am limited in doing right now. There are so many out there that are in need – not just physically either. Many are experiencing loneliness, fear, anxiety, loss and grief right now, and can use a kind word, listening ear and helping hand.

This is not the time for God’s kids to be soley focused on what is going on in our lives and homes. I invite you to ask God who you can bless today, and then do so. A text or phone call can mean the world to a scared friend, a delivery of books or other needed items can uplift a downcast soul, and an emailed prayer of encouragement can bring a smile knowing the reader is not alone.

Let’s be the church right where we are, and remind the world of God’s love, promises and Presence with us all. Coz we can all use a daily Hope filled dose of Good News, right?
