🌿Imagine the shock when the women went to Jesus’ tomb early Sunday morning, and found the body of the One they loved missing. The tomb wasn’t only empty, but the Roman guard assigned to guard it was nowhere to be seen. Instead, they encountered a startling emptiness and were addressed by an angel.
🌿Imagine Mary’s joy when her eyes were opened to see that the gardener she thought she was conversing with was indeed the risen Jesus. That His words were all true, and that there was indeed life on the other side of the cross.
🌿Imagine the disciples’ faces when they see Jesus alive and in their midst again.
🌿Friend, His resurrection still has the power to raise folks from the dead. His death then coming back to life again means a new life is now possible for those who accept that Jesus is who He says He is. The Messiah, Way Maker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper, Light in the Darkness, King forever!
🌿One song stirs up this rejoicing within my spirit right now, so sharing the lyrics with you here, and recommend you search it up to hear it for yourself today.
🌿RESURRECTING🌿 by @elevationworship
“The head that once was crowned with thorns is crowned with glory now. The Savior knelt to wash our feet, now at His feet we bow. The One who wore our sin & shame now robed in majesty. The radiance of perfect love now shines for all to see.
CHORUS: Your Name, Your Name is Victory. All praise will rise to Christ our King! (x2)
The fear that held us now gives way to Him who is our peace. His final breath upon the cross is now alive in me.
(Repeat Chorus)
By Your Spirit I will rise from the ashes of defeat, the resurrected King is resurrecting me. In Your Name I come alive to declare Your victory – the resurrected King is resurrecting me! 🙌
