For years, I mistakenly thought that the Proverbs 31 woman was the perfect woman, and did all I could do in my own strength to try to be more and more like her.
I completely missed the mark.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
Proverbs 31:25
The secret to her daily life comes from her dependence upon God. He clothes her with His strength. He guides and equips her with what she needs to do each day, for she knows she can do all things with his empowerment. He covers her with His dignity as His daughter. She doesn’t carry her load alone, but brings all things to Him for His help. Because she knows Whose she is, she can face the future with a smile, because she knows Who holds the future, and He promises that her story will end in good.
And the same is possible for you and I, friend. He always welcomes us with open arms into His house at any time. He offers to help us daily to walk with Him, be filled with His Spirit, and listen to His guidance as we look to Him & listen for His voice each day, whether good ones or hard ones. His Word reminds us that if our story isn’t yet good, our story and His plans aren’t finished yet!
