oceans…

This season of change has revealed more than ever that we can be certain of two things. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Uncertainty. That things will continue to ebb and flow in this life.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2.  God’s sovereignty. There is only One who can speak peace to us within the storm, and will guide us safely through. He is the only certainty and security we can hold on to when the waves rise, the winds howl and the storm swirls in all its frenzy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So Jesus? Would You calm the storm raging in me right now, as well as the enemy doing his best to discourage and pester me in this season? If You call me, like Peter, to step into the water, help me to keep my gaze fixed upon Yours and hear Your voice alone, my guiding compass, directing me safely to shore. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“You call me out upon the waters, the great unknown where feet may fail. And there I find You in the mystery. In oceans deep my faith will stand.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And I will call upon Your name and keep my eyes above the waves when oceans rise. My soul will rest in Your embrace, for I am Yours and You are mine.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your grace abounds in deepest waters, Your sovereign hand will be my guide. Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me, You’ve never failed and You won’t start now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So I will call upon Your name and keep my eyes above the waves when oceans rise. My soul will rest in Your embrace, for I am Yours and You are mine….⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders. Let me walk upon the waters wherever You would call me.Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander and my faith will be made stronger in the presence of my Saviour.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
