Fear is a liar. And when fear comes calling, we have the choice to answer or decline its call, each and every time it reaches out to ensnare us.
One song which shares the truth about fear, and that how it cannot remain in His Presence is “Fear is a Liar” by Zach Williams, who calls fear what it truly is – a liar. You too may be able to relate to a few of its common lies as you read the lyrics & hear the song. (If you do, call them what they are – lies, and break up with them in the Name of Jesus!)
🎵FEAR IS A LIAR🎶
“When he told you you’re not good enough, when he told you you’re not right; when he told you you’re not strong enough to put up a good fight. When he told you you’re not worthy, when he told you you’re not loved; when he told you you’re not beautiful, you’ll never be enough.
Fear, he is a liar. He will take your breath, stop you in your steps. Fear, he is a liar. He will rob your rest, steal your happiness. Cast your fear in the fire, ’cause fear, he is a liar.
When he told you were troubled, you’ll forever be alone; when he told you you should run away, you’ll never find a home. When he told you you were dirty and you should be ashamed, when he told you you could be the one that grace could never change.
Oh, fear, he is a liar. He will take your breath, stop you in your steps. Fear, he is a liar. He will rob your rest, steal your happiness. Cast your fear in the fire – ’cause fear, he is a liar.
Let Your fire fall and cast out all my fears. Let Your fire fall, Your love is all I feel. (X4)”

God, when fear comes calling, reassure me of who I am in You: forgiven, redeemed, beloved. Remind me that You are greater and more than able to empower me to kick fear out of my life. When I find fear within, fill me to overflowing with Your love, that fear will be so uncomfortable remaining within me that it will want to leave. Help me to break up with fear by naming it for what it is – a liar. Help me keep my thoughts focused on You, and not be swayed by what ifs. In Jesus’ Name, empowered by Holy Spirit, I ask You to make it so, Father. Amen!

What a right now post. Fear tried to grip me this morning but I said no. Then I saw this post and had to buy the song. Thank you so much for allowing the Lord to use you to encourage us for such a time as this!
