You matter.
Every single one of you.
As someone who has lost a loved one to suicide, had several close to me try to commit suicide, and have several family members battling various mental illnesses, I have a first hand understanding of the pain involved in the topic of mental wellness. The stigma to keep things in, and try to keep it together on your own.
No one was meant to carry their burdens alone, friend.
Now more than ever, we need to keep the conversation about how we are really doing going. It’s okay to have a bad day, or a bad week. It’s okay to feel lonely, especially during Covid restrictions. But please don’t go more than a day without checking in with yourself, God, a loved one and/or a trusted confidante if you are in the middle of a battle or emotionally tumultuous season.
Bell Let’s Talk day comes once a year to remind us that there is no shame in sharing how you are feeling.
I send out a hopefilled email each Monday to help remind you that you are seen, heard, loved and that you matter to both God & I. Head to my Connect page to sign up for this boost of hope if it could help you this season.
Yay, thank you for talking about this. It makes a big difference.
