Be Faithful – Matthew 6:31-33 MSG

“What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s
giving. People who don’t know God and the way He works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how He works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.”
(Matthew 6:31-33 MSG)

I can be faithful because the One I trust is faithful.

God has never once failed to provide for my needs. He often blesses me with more than enough as I look to Him as my faithful refuge, provider and guide.

I can walk faithfully alongside the God who faithfully walks alongside me.

I had a hard time finding a bible verse about our faithfulness, because it’s only a reflection of His faithfulness. When we faithfully look to Him, He’s there. When we faithfully ask of Him, He’s responsive. When we faithfully trust in Him, He’s present.

Only the one who is being faithful can see they are being faithfully met in their time of need.

Whatever you are going through right now, friend?

The Faithful One, unchanging in His steadfast devotion towards you will faithfully guide, walk and love you through it, providing for your needs along the way.

Lean into the Faithful One today. Rest in His Promises. He is constant, present, devoted and true. He will be your Rock in times of trouble, and lift you up when you are down. All through the storm, His love is the anchor, and your hope filled faithfulness can be in Him alone. (Echoes of “Faithful One” by Brian Doerksen in that last bit. So good! 🎶)
