There is an annoying monkey 🙈 many of us carry on our backs, who causes us to lower our heads when we recall our past.
That monkey is called shame.
And just like the monkey with its hands over its eyes, it blocks us from seeing truth.
SHAME is defined by Oxford Languages Dictionary as:
“a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior.”
The thing is, 99% of the time we know when we have done something wrong or foolish.
And when we come to God, confess that wrong or foolishness, we are forgiven.
💯
For all of it.
When we allow shame to speak louder than truth?

in front of our gaze, and distorts the truth into a false version of reality.
The reality is that when we confess, He forgives. Period.
When the enemy spirit of shame distorts our vision, it redirects us to act in ways other than how God intended us to by extending us that forgiveness.
Stay tuned this week for more about how to let go of shame, and what God has to say about it.
