R e j o i c e.
You read that right, friend. The next step after we have received the Word & rested in it, is to rejoice!
🙌Rejoice that His Word is speaking to us today
🙌Rejoice at the characteristic(s) of God it contains
🙌Rejoice at the hope it offers the reader who believes it
🌿”God, who began the good work within you, WILL continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
(Philippians 1:6)
So God, today I rejoice that this Good News is true: You will finish the work You have begun in me, and it is a good work. I rejoice that You are coming again, Jesus. I rejoice that You are continually with me, Holy Spirit, to teach me as I invite Your wisdom into my time in the Word.
And may any grumbling or ungratefulness be swept away as I lift my thankfulness and rejoice in Who is always in my corner!
