Psalm 23:1-2 TPT

I often find myself going back to familiar passages in the Bible, and more often that not I am in the Psalms.

Because the authors of the Psalms held nothing back when expressing themselves. They laid all their emotional cards on the table as they poured their hearts out to God, over and over.  And after they did, they were able to grasp His perspective, plans and purpose anew as they lifted their voices in praise.

I have discovered that Hope meets me in that outpouring, as I make space within for more of Him.

I can rest in the knowledge that He is with me, He guides me, He holds me close, & He will calm my fears in His Presence and quiet my soul as I spend time with Him.

Even when I am in the noisiest of locations, these words echo the truth they contain deep within.

“Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in His luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss.”
