EPIPHANY

Today is the traditional name given to the day the wise men/scholars met baby Jesus. But what is an epiphany, besides a day celebrated by the Church?

✨an appearance or manifestation especially of a divine being

✨a moment in which you suddenly see or understand something in a new or very clear way, usually simple and striking

✨a revealing scene or moment

So Epiphany is indeed the right word for the meeting between Jesus and the wise scholars.

➡️God was now in the flesh, and in the neighbourhood, as a baby!

➡️When the wise scholars encountered Him after their long journey, they worshiped Him, and gave Him costly gifts worthy of a king.

➡️The dream which warned them to not return to King Herod was also a revealing moment for these scholars. It confirmed that God was on the side of this baby, and He was indeed the long awaited King!

On this day each year, why not celebrate by 🙏asking God for a fresh epiphany, a new revelation of something He wants you to see today.

💥Because the same God who met those wise scholars face to face, and brought the prophecies of His coming to life, is still alive and wanting to meet with every single one of us, each and every day!
