Immanuel…

It is common to feel un-anchored after a trauma or unexpected scenario (hullo, COVID/illness, car accidents/repairs, or relational clashes).

Those moments are when I need to be grounded on something that is not fleeting, not rooted in time the same way I am. An eternal promise, one which stands beyond time.

“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel.”

Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:22-23

Not only did this Bible verse come to pass, but it holds the key to being grounded, to knowing I am never alone no matter what comes to pass.

Immanuel” – the Hebrew word which means, “God with us” is the truth, the promise and the hope these verses contain.
