Ever feel like you are the only one who hides away in fear on the hard days? Me too.
And then I read about how Jesus’ disciples were hiding away in fear the morning after He revealed Himself to Mary, and Jesus shows up to not only say, “Peace be with you.” but this lovely verse full of meaning…
“And with that He breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’ ” (John 20:22)
God, it will literally take Your Holy Spirit to drive this mess of fear out of me. Fear of letting people down. Fear of not measuring up. Fear of failing. Breathe on me, Breath of God. Holy Spirit, shake me up within as You drive out these fears. Release the Peace which passes all understanding into the space where fear used to dwell. Fill me up to overflowing again, as I trust You to do what only You can do. Amen.
