When I am having a rough day, I head to the Psalms. Because every kind of day & emotion are recorded there by real people just like me – flawed, fearful, flailing, faithful folk – who encounter God through their praise & prayers as they put it all on paper.
The Psalms have become part of me over the years. Part worship book , part prayer manual, part journey guide. And through it all, His Presence & character is intimately & intricately woven into its pages.
For the next few weeks, I am sharing four of my go to Psalms, worship songs inspired by the day’s bible passage, and a prayer of what’s on my heart after reading that portion of the Word.
