I was told to have a hysterectomy at age 31. Because a doctor didn’t think to check how my eldest was positioned, and left me in labour for too long before delivering without the cesarean I should have had.
As a follower of Jesus, I immediately prayed about that decision. Because as 31, your life feels wide open in front of you, and so do your choices.
My husband agreed with the specialist, but I had absolutely no sense of peace about it. Despite having had bleeding issues since my early teens, a miscarriage and 2 traumatic deliveries.
And that sense of no peace could not have been my own, because I wanted an end to my years of suffering.
Instead, I asked for a second opinion, and met with a specialist who had another opinion completely. The one God wanted for me. With an alternate plan to control my bleeding issue, and bring me to 41 before needing my next surgery.
God so blessed that choice that I made it almost 18 years instead of the 10 I was told before my next surgery became necessary.
And then, He again brought the right specialist to support me every 4-6 weeks through Covid, until my surgery date next Monday.
I fully believed He can & was willing to heal me with one touch like the woman who touched His robe, yet He has provided years more than I could have imagined with no bleeding through His alternate non invasive means.
Jehovah Jireh stepped in and provided a miraculous way, which defied expectation, for me in this situation.
And it was beyond any blessing I could have expected in the natural, seeing Him move over and over again these past 20 years.
